2canscream of mushroom soup(or favorite homemade mix)
1quart jargreen beans, drained(or two 14.5-ounce cans, drained)
½tspsalt
1bagtater tots of choice
Instructions
Preheat your oven according to the temperature on your tater tot bag. (*See note below.)
Brown the ground beef in a large 12-inch skillet over medium heat. Turn off the heat and drain off any extra grease.
To the same pan or in a large mixing bowl, add the soup, drained green beans, and salt to the beef and stir well. There is no need to heat the mixture.
Pour the mixture into a 9 x 13 casserole dish and smooth out the top so it is nice and level. Add the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the meat.
Bake in a preheated oven, following the baking time on the tater tot bag. The tots should be nice and crispy when they are done (or to your preferred liking). Enjoy!
Notes
* When I cook tater tots, I usually set my oven a bit hotter than what the tater tot bag states to get the tots extra crispy. So, for example, if the bag states to cook them at 400º Fahrenheit, I'll usually set it for 425ºF.* To cut the recipe in half, use half the ingredient amounts but follow the same instructions and cooking time. Just use an 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 baking dish instead of the 9 x 13 dish.
