4 to 6clovesgarlic, finely minced(or 1 ½ tsp garlic powder)
1tspdried parsley(or 1 Tbsp fresh, finely minced)
8Tbspsoftened butter(or ½ cup)
½tspsalt
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400º Fahrenheit. Prepare your French loaf. Cut it in half horizontally so you end up with two long halves. Place them on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper, cut side up. Set aside for now.
If needed, finely mince the garlic and fresh parsley. Place them in a small bowl. To the same bowl, add the softened butter and salt. Stir everything together until you have a paste-like consistency.
Spread half of the garlic butter mixture on one of the French bread halves. Repeat the process with the other half of the garlic butter.
Place the bread in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until the edges of the bread are toasted and the garlic starts to darken slightly. Finish under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes if desired.

For Cheesy Garlic Bread: Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of shredded Parmesan, Romano, or mozzarella cheese during the last couple of minutes of baking. To Freeze: Prepare as instructed, but wrap the loaves together in aluminum foil before baking. Place them in a freezer-safe ziplock bag and freeze for 3 to 4 months. To Bake From Frozen: Bake as directed, but add 3 to 5 more minutes to baking time or until heated through. You can also leave the loaves wrapped in foil and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until heated through.
