A quick and easy 2-ingredient strawberry fruit dip made by combining creamy marshmallow and strawberry cream cheese for a sweet way to enjoy fresh fruit, graham crackers, vanilla wafers, pretzels, and so much more.

If you are looking for a way to make fresh strawberries taste even sweeter, then try this 2-ingredient marshmallow strawberry fruit dip! It’s simple to make and is the perfect way to enhance the natural flavors of fresh strawberries – or any other fruit, for that matter!
Double or triple the recipe for a simple yet delicious side dish that’s easy to take to those family gatherings, potlucks, team sports dinners, or any other get-together where you are tired of serving the same old foods. It’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser every time!
Whether you serve it with fresh fruit, graham crackers, vanilla wafers, pretzels, cookie wafers, or just your spoon, it’s a perfect, simple strawberry fruit dip no matter the season. Not a huge strawberry fan? No worries, because I also include multiple other variations to try out as well (including one with chocolate chips!).

Why You’ll Love This Recipe?
- So Easy to Make – With only two ingredients, plus your choice of dippers, it’s so easy to make and serve!
- Customizable – The recipe calls for strawberry cream cheese. However, if you can’t find that or want to customize the flavors to a different fruit or something else entirely, you can easily do that. Simply use regular cream cheese instead and try one of my other suggested versions.
- Perfect for Sharing – While the recipe is for 12 servings as it is written (more like 4 servings when our family is involved!), you can easily double or even triple the recipe to take to family gatherings, potlucks, or wherever. Along with my Simple Summertime Fruit Salad recipe or my Fruit Salsa and Homemade Cinnamon Sugar Chip recipe, this dip is one of our favorite dishes to take to these types of events, where sharing food is encouraged/required. (It’s also one of the first items gone at these events, so it’s definitely a crowd pleaser!)
- Great for Any Holiday – This marshmallow strawberry fruit dip is a great alternative to chocolate-covered strawberries for Valentine’s Day. It is also perfect for any Easter celebrations, as well as the perfect dish for any summer gatherings, backyard barbeques, or 4th of July celebrations. Heck, we even make it for our winter holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas – or any day just because!
The Best Kinds Of Dippers For Marshmallow Strawberry Fruit Dip
There really is no wrong answer to the question of what the best dippers are for this marshmallow strawberry fruit dip recipe! However, here are a few that we have tried and think are great pairings:

- Fresh Fruit – Strawberries sliced in half are the main attraction at our house. However, almost all other fruits also work well. Sliced apples, bananas, kiwi, and other berries are all great options. (If using sliced apples, try swapping the strawberry cream cheese for regular and adding a bit of cinnamon! It’s a perfect fall or winter dip served this way!)
- Sweet Crackers & Cookies – You can pair almost any other sweet cracker with this dip. Three of my absolute favorites are graham crackers, cinnamon graham crackers, and vanilla wafers. (It’s scary how easily I can demolish a box of vanilla wafers when this strawberry dip is involved!) Animal crackers, cinnamon chips, wafer cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and rice cakes are also great options.
- Salty Snacks – Pretzels are a great option if you are the type of person who enjoys a little salty with their sweet!
Fun Flavor Variations
You don’t have to be stuck with just making a strawberry marshmallow fruit dip. Switch to regular cream cheese, and you can add all sorts of flavor variations and combinations!

One of the easiest variations to do is to mince up other fresh fruits to add. Or, instead of minced fresh fruit, whisk in a tablespoon or two of homemade jam or preserves. To make it a bit more refreshing, add a couple of tablespoons of orange juice and some orange zest.
For a really decadent and chocolatey sweet dip, add chocolate chips or chocolate syrup. A drizzle of honey or maple syrup can also revamp the flavor profile of the fruit dip and take it over the top!
Warm up a little homemade peanut butter or powdered peanut butter to stir into the dip. The peanut butter mixed with the marshmallow creates a dip that will make you feel like you are chowing down on a fluffernutter sandwich! (We like using this brand of powdered peanut butter, PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter [Product Link].)
To amp up the vanilla flavor of the marshmallow, add a splash of vanilla. (You can learn how to make homemade vanilla in my article, “Homemade Vanilla Extract In Three Simple Steps!”)
Ingredients For Marshmallow Strawberry Fruit Dip
*Scroll down to the bottom of this post to see the full recipe, including exact measurements and amounts. You can also print out the instructions. I go into a bit more detail about the recipe here first, just in case you need it.

This ingredient list only includes two simple items: Strawberry cream cheese and Marshmallow fluff. That’s it! Then you can use whatever type of dippers you prefer.
- Strawberry Cream Cheese – Most fruit dip recipes only call for using regular cream cheese. However, the strawberry cream cheese takes the dip over the top! Can’t find specifically strawberry cream cheese? Don’t worry, because you can make your own really easily by mincing up a couple of strawberries and adding into the mixture.
- Marshmallow Fluff – This is what takes the flavor of this dip over the top. Use store-bought fluff or try your hand at making it homemade instead!
Instructions For Marshmallow Strawberry Fruit Dip
This is one of those recipes that doesn’t really require instructions since it is only the two ingredients. The hardest part will be trying to get every last bit of the marshmallow fluff out of the container!

Start by softening your cream cheese. If you try to make this dip using cream cheese right from the fridge, you will struggle to achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
There are a couple of ways you can soften cream cheese easily. My usual go-to is to remove the foil or plastic container, place the cream cheese on a microwave safe plant, and use the “Soften” button on my microwave. (Alternatively, heat it for 15 to 20 seconds.) Or, leave the cream cheese on your counter for about 30 to 60 minutes to come to room temperature.
Next, add the softened strawberry cream cheese to a medium-sized bowl. If you only have regular cream cheese, now is the time to mince up 2 to 3 strawberries (or whatever fruit you want) into small pieces and add them to the bowl.
Now for the biggest challenge: Getting the marshmallow fluff out of the jar and into the same bowl! (Why is this such a pain?) The best tip I have for this is to dip your spatula in hot water and then dig into the jar. Repeat this process until you have all of the fluffy whipped goodness out of the jar. (Or just make your own if you have a great recipe for that!)
Blend And Serve!
Using a whisk or a handheld mixer, blend the ingredients together until smooth, creamy, and fluffy. It is a lot easier to achieve a smooth consistency using a hand-held mixer, but I have done it several times using a spoon and a little manpower. Having softened cream cheese will help achieve a smooth consistency. (When I’m not too lazy to get it out of the cabinet, this is the handheld mixer I use. Well, I have the old version of it – Hamilton Beach 6-Speed Electric Hand Mixer with Whisk [Product Link].)

And that’s it! If you are making other variations that have pieces, add those after blending together the cream cheese and marshmallow fluff. (For example, add the chocolate chips after blending the fluff and cream cheese together.) Just fold them into the dip by hand.
Keep the marshmallow strawberry fruit dip chilled until you are ready for serving. (Don’t forget to sample a few spoonfuls first, though! That’s one of the benefits of making the recipes!)
Serve with fresh strawberries, apple slices, pineapple, grapes, graham crackers, vanilla wafers, pretzels, or whatever your heart desires. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for 2 to 3 days.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can this dip be made ahead of time? Yes, you can make the marshmallow strawberry fruit dip one to two days in advance and store it in your refrigerator in an enclosed container. If you are adding fresh minced fruit or other added fresh ingredients, wait to add them until right before serving, though.
- Can you use homemade marshmallow fluff? Absolutely! In fact, I encourage it because, in my opinion, homemade is always better than store-bought.
- Can you use reduced-fat cream cheese? Of course. The flavor won’t be as rich, but reduced-fat cream cheese will work just as well as regular.
